CONTAINS:
  • Gluten
  • Ingredients

    White Bread Loaf
Flour, All Purpose 2 1/2 cups.
    Yeast, instant 2 tsp.
    Salt, table 1 tsp.
    Sugar, white 1 tbsp.
    Wesson Canola Oil 3 tbsp.
    Water, warm 1 cup.

    Method

    Dough

Combine dry ingredients and Wesson Canola Oil in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook. Briefly mix to evenly distribute ingredients.
Add warm water all at once to mixture. Water should be body temperature and not hot to the touch. Mix dough at medium speed for 10 minutes, or until a smooth dough is formed. Remove dough from mixer and shape into a smooth ball shape.

Using a bowl at least twice the size of the dough ball, add 1/4 tsp of oil. Transfer the ball of dough to this bowl.
Roll the dough around the bowl to lightly coat with oil. Cover with plastic wrap and place the bowl in a warm spot.
Let the dough rest until it has doubled in size. Depending on the temperature of your kitchen this could be from 30-90 minutes.

Once dough has doubled, gently scrape the dough onto a clean dry countertop. Using your fingertips press the dough into a rectangle approximately the same length as your loaf pan.
Fold the top edge of the dough rectangle towards yourself to the middle of the rectangle.
Fold the left and right sides of the rectangle towards the center of the dough. Rotate the dough 180 degrees so that the folded edge is closest to yourself.
Roll the dough away from yourself forming a tightly sealed log. Gently roll the log into the length of the loaf pan.

    Assembly Method
Lightly oil the loaf pan and place the dough in the pan. Cover the pan and let sit in a warm spot until doubled in size. This should be slightly quicker than the first rise, or about 30 minutes. Pre-heat oven to 375F and bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown. Remove the loaf from pan and transfer to a wire rack to cool. To check if the loaf is fully baked, remove loaf from pan and hold using a kitchen towel. Tap the bottom of the loaf, if fully baked it should sound hollow. Let rest for 30 minutes before slicing.
